Paul Cantelon (Composer)

Paul Cantelon was born in Glendale, California. A prodigy who made his violin debut at the age of 13 at UCLA’s Royce Hall, he was inspired by the work of Donalee Reubenet to begin piano studies. He studied with Andre Gauthier at the Geneva Conservatory of Music in Switzerland, Jacob Lateiner at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City, and Vlado Perlemuter at the Conservatoire de Paris. Paul is an award-winning film composer whose credits include The Diving Bell and The Butterfly, W., New York I Love You, and Conviction. He is a founding member of the band Wild Colonials. Helios is the first dance company he has worked with since playing live with Russian ballet great Nureyev.
